Rashmika Mandanna and Dhruva Sarja recently released Pogaru has landed in soup. Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film is dong exceptionally well at the box-office post the unlock 5. However, a scene from the film has courted controversy where the villain is seen putting his foot on the shoulder of Brahmin.
This has irked the Brahmin community who has demanded to remove the scene and also mute certain dialogues. A member of Brahmin community said, "We have been demanding that the producer and the director of the movie Pogaru delete the scene where a rowdy puts his foot on a priest's shoulder. A few dialogues and scenes are in bad taste. The movie is not aimed at conveying a message to society. It has all elements to misguide the youth in society."
Meanwhile, the filmmaker has issued an apology. He agreed to remove the clip but sought 15-days time as the scene require a lot of time to chop off. He said, "I apologise If I have hurt the sentiments of the Brahmin community. In the beginning of the movie, we made it clear that the characters or dialogues are not aimed at a particular community of people."
