Legendary and veteran singer Sp Balasubramaniam’s longest tour under SPB50 covering wider areas in the United States is filled with many surprises. While he received legal notices from friend and mentor Ilayraja stopping from singing the songs composed by Musical Maestro, here comes one more shock when SPB’s bag containing valuable items, passport and important cards is stolen.
‘Namasthe to everyone. Life is full of ups and downs. I am enjoying the blessings of the audiences in our SPB50 concerts in Seattle, LA, San Jose, Dallas, Kansas, Tampa and Atlanta with successful concerts (rather the best tour in my career thanks to my son Charan who designed and executing it).
My bag with passports, credit cards, cash, and my pads with all my song scripts were stolen. Thanks to Consulate General, Indian Embassy Houston, Ms.Parvathi and Ms. Vijayalakshmi, I got my duplicate passport in 24 hrs.
Yesterday was shocked to know about the demise of our country’s pride, Hindusthani Singer Smt. Kishori Amonkar. Prayer to Maa Saraswathi to take good care of her in her abode.
Today came to know about the news that I was blessed with Shri. N.T.Rama Rao National Award. Grateful to AP Govt and to all the jury members, particularly to Sri. Nandamuri Balakrishna,’ SPB posted on his social media page.
