Om Namo Low Openings, No Problem!

‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ from the mystic combination of K Raghavendra Rao, Nagarjuna, Keeravani and JK Bharavi opened to unique positive talk yesterday. Though movie is narrated on the familiar lines of ‘Annamayya’ and ‘Sri Ramadasu’ yet ONV succeeded in filling Telugu hearts with devotional feel.

As per early trade reports, ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ had a weak first day in India and Overseas. Unlike mass masala films, never one can expect a huge opening for devotional genre. In fact, Nag’s first attempt ‘Annamayya’ also had a disappointing start and picked up only after first weekend. 

Going by Telugu audience behavioral patterns, ONV will stick to Box Office for long period. Poor opening on day one cannot be taken as final inference. Strong word of mouth will surely improve the prospects. From Thursday premieres in USA, the film collected a meager $15,498 from 75+ screens.
