Record: Singham Wastage 99.2%

Wastage in any form is avoidable at film making because this ultimately decreases the financial burden on producers and cuts down the number of working days. But what would we say if a hero cum producer or director who wasted 99.2% of the raw footage they shot and kept just 0.8% in making a film called ‘Singham 3.’

‘There were days when we used to shoot a film on rolls. Before beginning work, we used to calculate the number of rolls needed for one day and we cannot exceed them. Directors have to compromise and shoot with less number of rolls. With the advent of digital cameras, we got full freedom. 

For ‘Singham 3,’ we shot visual footage of approximately 17 lakhs roll length. On to the final version, we shortened it down to 14000 which means we used only 0.8% of the footage we had and rest of the 99.2% will be used for Singham 4 and 5,’ director Hari said.

Suriya, Anushka, Shruti Hasan starrer ‘Singham 3’ is set for a grand release on 9th of this month across world.
