Rajini Calls Amma, Kohinoor Diamond!

Super Star Rajinikanth attended the condolence meeting of Jayalalitha yesterday in Chennai arranged by Nadigar Sangham and paid rich tributes called her as the real Kohinoor Diamond resting at MGR memorial site.

‘I made a strong statement against Amma during the 1996 Assembly polls which had hurt her. I was a key reason for her party’s defeat,’ Rajini said. 

‘However, it was with great difficulty she took the reins of AIADMK following the death of its founder and her political mentor MG Ramachandran and overtaken him in political achievements. Having lost father at the age of two and mother 20 years later, Amma faced various challenges including having no family but achieved enormous fame by hard work in a male dominated society. She is a diamond and challenges faced in life further polished her,’ Rajini further added.
