Heroine's Husband, A Huge Flop!

Yesteryear heroine Genelia’s husband Riteish Deshmukh enjoys decent image and mileage in Bollywood. To be more specific, Riteish’s comedy timing is more enjoyable than his serious actions. Except the hit villain acts in ‘Ek Villain,’ majority of blockbuster films from Riteish belong to comedy genre. This time, his new release ‘Banjo’ failed miserably with severe panning from critics.

Starring Nargis Fakhri as heroine, ‘Banjo’ was promoted as high as ‘Rock Star 2’ with Riteish’s rock star posters having gone viral. However, the concept of slum dog musicians isn’t received well by audience. ‘Banjo’ has reportedly done a dull business of just Rs. 5.92 Crores by completion of first weekend.

Nargis is absolutely a non-actress with single card expression. Her presence as heroine is considered as one of the major drawbacks and Riteish wasn’t able to put the plot together. Resultantly, a high anticipated ‘Banjo’ is rated as a humiliating disaster of the season.
