In the very early stages of career, Mega camp hero VarunTej is traveling in a different track selecting experimental subjects away from commercial zone. In fact, Mega family is known for mass masala entertainment and every film from their home is meant to churn Box Office. However, the statement may not hold any more strength because of Varun Tej’s approach and Naga Babu’s support.

Firstly, Naga Babu agreeing on ‘Mukunda’ as debut film for Varun is a temerarious move and result of this Srikant Addalka directorial is well known to all of us. In no time, they also signed up for ‘Kanche’ which is again a non-commercial script purely targeted at only one section of audience. What is Varun trying to prove? Is he doing a right thing by remaining away from commercial stardom? Despite he teamed with Puri for next film, what kind of image is Varun trying to build for himself?

‘Mukunda’ is rated as a disaster and ‘Kanche’ commercial output is seriously doubtful, as per early evaluations by trade sources. One thing for sure is Varun is pretty talented and versatile. Need of the hour is just to entice Mega Fans now and then with blockbusters instead of carrying away on same serious look which can prove perilous in later stages. Only commercial success gauges the overall strength of heroes in Tollywood. Professional satisfaction comes only next to this.
