Our Indian creativity has no paucity in offering variety of titles for heroes and heroines especially belonging to film circuit. If ‘Burning Star’ for Sampoornesh Babu is the peaks of disgruntlement, now here comes one more ‘Toilet Ki Devi’ or ‘Goddess of Toilet’ honor for glamorous heroine Vidya Balan. Yes, she is honored this status of Goddess when visited Lucknow last week as National Sanitation brand ambassador.

Vidya Balan’s association with Rural Development and Sanitation Ministry spreading the awareness on cleanliness and sanitation in rural India is highly appreciated. Her slogan of ‘Jahan Soch Wahan Shauchalay’ propogating the need of toilets for women in villages bought her immense respect. This work made Vidya to win the title of ‘Shauchalaya Ki Devi’ from Swamy Chidanand Saraswathi.

Well, Vidya hasn’t done any nuisance on this title and accepted the same with a smile. ‘In India, it is honor to be addressed as Goddess. May it be a Temple or Toilet, a Devi is always meant for Goddess and I oblige the title,’ Vidya Balan said. Apart from acting in main stream Hindi cinemas with glamorously raunchy image, this work of Vidya Balan will be remembered for long in making a 'Clean India.'
