Music Director Anguish On TV Serials

Every music director nails in a life and soul into every tune they compose for respective assignments. However, some of them might win acceptance of public and some might go without any trace killing the career and lives of music composers. Today, there is only a bunch of few music directors enjoying a prosperous life with pocket full of assignments while others are always in search of livelihood. What happens when some of their compositions are used illegally by others without music director’s consent?   

Matter of interest is music director turned director turned artist Rp Patnaik getting ready to file a case against ‘Aththo Aththamma Koothuro’ TV serial producer and director allegedly for lifting his new song from yet to be released film ‘Tulasidalam.’ He is filing a damage suit suing the TV producer at a penalty of 50 Lakhs.

‘Audience can wrongly assume on me lifting their tune and using it for ‘Tulasidalam.’ When will some of these exploiters understand and respect the basic and fundamental rights of music directors? This is a warning for all the TV serial producers and directors to keep away from robbing my tunes and songs of other music directors,’ Rp Patnaik said. Let us see, how many of them will hear RP's voice.
