Taliban Chief Mullah Omar Dead!!

According to latest BBC reports, Afghanistan Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar is dead. He is the supreme commander and the spiritual leader of the Taliban. Although Taliban group hasn’t officially accepted the reports but Taliban spokesman said the group would issue a statement shortly. In fact, there was confusing news spread across the world from last two years mentioning the death of Mullah Omar.

This time, Pakistan authorities confirmed the news sharing the same with Afghan officials. Only after Afghan cabinet discussed the subject, the news is officially released to world media. Mullah Omar is in the hit list of the United States of America for offering the shelter to Osama Bin Laden and other Al-Qaeda militants. 

Afghanistan Islamic Movement Fidai Mahaz, a group divided from main Taliban group says that Mullah Omar was killed by Fidai Mahaz Taliban leaders Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansoor and Gull Agha in 2013. This group’s spokesperson claimed of providing necessary evidences, if needed. However, Mullah Omar wasn’t active and was not seen in public since the US led intervention in 2001 in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.
