Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur Family Star OTT Streaming From May 3

Vijay Deverakonda's latest film The Family Star was released amidst huge expectations earlier this month. But, the film fetched poor response from the audience. Directed by Parasuram, Family Star failed in recreating the success of 'Geetha Govindam' which was made in the combination of Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram. Produced by Dil Raju under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner while Gopi Sundar provided the music. 

Expectations soared high as the film is being made in the hit combination and also the fresh pairing of Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur raised the prospects . But it couldn't even reach break even. The film with the help of festivals and public holidays recovered a chunk of investment but didn't reach halfway mark to the break even resulting a boxoffice failure.

The latest reports on social media indicate that the film will make its digital debut on May 3. Prime Video is holding the post-theatrical streaming rights of Family Star. In the recent times, movies that did not do well at the box office are coming on the OTT earlier than expected.

So, The Family Star is making its digital debut within a month of its theatrical release. Mrunal Thakur paired opposite Vijay in this flick. The film also features Jagapathi Babu, Vasuki, Abhinaya, and Vennela Kishore in crucial roles. Ace producer Dil Raju bankrolled the film, while Gopi Sundar provided the tunes.
