Maoists torch BSNL equipment room

Equipment worth Rs 15 lakh was destroyed after Maoists torched a control-cum-equipment room of the state-run telecom operator, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited at Peddabailur in Vishakapatnam district .
According to police sources, the incident took place in Peddabailur village on Monday night when three extremists, including a woman, asked the lone lineman to come out following which they set ablaze the unit, damaging all the equipment.
